Job description

A local non-profit is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Northern Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to join our agency. The crew leader will assist the Landscape Maintenance Manager and the Assistant Landscape Maintenance Manager in everyday operations of the Northern Landscape Maintenance Crew.

NORTHERN LAWN CREW LEADER DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Ensure all worked is performed in the Statement of Work listed under Winter Parking Lot & Ramp Maintenance/Grounds Maintenance
  • Work at different job locations with the landscape crews performing the grounds maintenance
  • Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance to lawn equipment
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform required services
  • Equipment used: zero turn mowers, trim mowers, string trimmers, handheld and backpack blowers, power pruners, chain saw, and other misc. tools as required
  • Train new employees in the safe operation of equipment used to perform required services
  • Submit required reports - monthly expense reports, time sheets, etc.
  • Report any concerns or personnel issue

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical Training/College Degree (plus)
  • Landscape/Mechanical Background
  • Leadership Qualities
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
  • Capable of repetitive pushing, pulling, stretching, reaching, kneeling, bending and walking
  • Able to pass background check
  • Valid driver's license with proof of insurance
  • Clean driving record to be to operate agency vehicle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
