Job description

Skurnik Wines & Spirits prides ourselves in the finest selection of fine wines and spirits, and the best service and hospitality in the business, with a growing sales team. We are seeking a talented Sales Representative to build upon existing business in Northern New Jersey.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior sales experience working on the wholesale end of the industry is strongly preferred, though not required. Candidates with commensurate retail and/or restaurant
experience will also be considered.
  • Market network of buyers & clientele in Northern New Jersey
  • Understanding of the Northern New Jersey marketplace and relevant competition
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and solution focused.
  • Computer experience necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office.
  • Reports to: Sales Manager, NJ

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and develop relationships with customers via face-to-face visits and phone/email correspondence.
  • Develop expertise of Skurnik Wines' portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as the fundamental tool of establishing successful sales.
  • Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively follow company policies.
  • Work in conjunction with Portfolio Management.
  • Collaborate to facilitate sales opportunities.
  • Willingly accept assignments for market work with visiting winery suppliers.
  • Manage and report monthly filing of expense reports in accordance with company policy.
  • Comply with all policies in accordance with our Credit Department and associated State Liquor Authority.
  • Communicate regularly with the Regional Sales Manager and Credit Department as appropriate to advise of important matters at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.
