Job description

Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our pediatric inpatient team in Bangor, Maine. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality behavioral health care to children and adolescents.
In this role, you will partner with experienced psychiatrists, other PMHNPs, clinicians, therapists, and support staff while also contributing to teaching initiatives within our Child and Adolescent Inpatient Service. Candidates with prior pediatric behavioral health experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Position Highlights:
  • Monday - Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute pediatric behavioral health patients
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Consult with healthcare providers across the continuum of care
  • Partner with and report to the Medical Director of Pediatric Services
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives with a focus on patient safety and outcomes
