Job description

Providence Medical Group is seeking a full-time, board-eligible/board-certified Movement Disorder Neurologist to join the team at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. The ideal candidate is experienced and/or trained in the medical and surgical workup and management of patients with refractory Parkinson disease, tremor, dystonia and other related movement disorders. Join a large, sophisticated, and nationally recognized neurology group in beautiful eastern Washington with 24/7 specialty support from Neurohospitalists, Neurosurgery, Neuro-IR, Neuroradiology, Psychiatry and more.


Practice with one of the West's largest and most integrated health systems in Spokane, the neurologic and educational hub of the inland northwest with state-of-the-art advanced imaging, EEG/EMG, and interventional technologies. Facilities in Spokane include 644-bed Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and its own dedicated children's hospital, 272-bed Providence Holy Family Hospital in north Spokane, and subspecialty neurology outpatient clinics throughout the city. Position Details:


  • Full-time position
  • 100% movement disorder, no general Neurology required
  • No clinic or hospital/ED call due to 24/7 inpatient Neurohospitalist coverage to support patient emergencies
  • Collaborate with Providence system movement disorder Neurologists
  • Support from neuro-trained nurse practitioners, research coordinators, outpatient neurologists specializing in epilepsy, MS, neuromuscular/ALS, autonomic dysfunction, stroke, sleep, headache, neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation
  • Resident and medical student teaching and mentoring opportunities with optional clinical faculty appointments through University of Washington School of Medicine and/or Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine

Compensation & Benefits:


  • Compensation is between $318,823 and $406,440 per year
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental and more

The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.


Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Fellowship training in movement disorders required
  • Experience and interest in deep brain stimulator (DBS) programming and botox preferred
  • Interest in DBS is desirable
  • New graduates, J1 and H1B Visa applicants are welcome to apply
