Job Description
We are looking for a detail oriented, well organized individual to work at our Qualification Center located in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will be a highly efficient, self-motivated individual who has strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
The essential responsibilities of the Documentation Specialist include, but are not limited to:
Having a strong knowledge of specific medical coverage and documentation guidelines for various commercial insurance plans for respiratory services, home medical equipment and supplies.
  • Review and request appropriate medical documentation according to insurance coverage requirements from physicians and clinical staff to ensure patient qualifies for medical services.
  • Follow up with internal customers via phone, fax, email, etc. regarding outstanding documentation.
  • Verify insurance coverage information, billing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide instruction to employees on proper documentation completion.
