Job description

Help Believe in Me verify the quality of nonprofit websites, CRM workflows, integrations, fundraising tools, and volunteer systems that support underserved youth and young people.

We are seeking a volunteer Test Engineer to plan and execute end-to-end testing across Believe in Me’s digital operations. This program-specific role complements the iLevelUP QA team by focusing on nonprofit business systems and public-facing experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements and define functional, integration, regression, and acceptance tests
  • Test websites, forms, donations, email, CRM, volunteer, analytics, and data workflows
  • Validate behavior across browsers, devices, roles, and realistic scenarios
  • Document defects with clear evidence, severity, and reproduction steps
  • Verify fixes and help assess release readiness
  • Support accessibility, privacy, security, and performance checks
  • Build reusable test cases, checklists, test data, and documentation
  • Coordinate with WordPress, Salesforce, marketing, data, and IT volunteers

Qualifications:

  • Experience in software testing, QA, business systems, web operations, or technical support
  • Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, documentation, and communication
  • Familiarity with browsers, forms, APIs, CRM, databases, or test-management tools
  • Ability to understand end-to-end workflows and protect sensitive information
  • Automation, accessibility, security, or nonprofit-technology experience is helpful

This remote, recurring opportunity is flexible and typically requires up to 10 hours per month. Volunteers may participate from anywhere.
