Job description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Business Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Business Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: utilizing Java to develop cloud-native microservice applications; utilizing Python for advanced data processing and analytics; building web-based user interfaces using JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL; working with React and Spring frameworks for both front-end and back-end development; designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software components using Java, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; building and optimizing REST and GraphQL APIs including service integrations to enhance business processes and application performance; writing SQL queries for data optimization and fetching; working with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support; adhering to documented compliance standards for applications being built for security and performance implications; working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools to ensure delivery and code quality; participating in architecture design, technical documentation, and code reviews for new features and services.
