Job description

Department: Building and Grounds

General Summary

Under the supervision of the Parks Maintenance Crew Leader, participates in a variety of grounds maintenance activities at county buildings and parks including but not limited to mowing lawns, trimming trees and bushes, general landscape maintenance and improvements, site and grounds cleanup and maintenance, seeding grass, applying lawn fertilizers, raking, shoveling, grounds clean up, installing, maintaining and repairing park equipment including but not limited to: picnic tables, playground equipment and areas, signs, fencing, water systems and cooking grills.


Education: High school graduation or equivalent, 18 years of age.

Experience: None required.

Other Requirements: Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license with no serious infractions.
