Job Summary:

The Penny George Institute for Health and Healing (PGIHH) is seeking an NP or PA with experience or a strong interest in Integrative and Functional Medicine. This is an opportunity to practice in a model designed to support meaningful patient relationships through extended patient visits, dedicated charting time, and a highly collaborative, innovative team.
Providers enjoy a flexible practice model that includes virtual or hybrid care and AI-assisted documentation. You'll work with a team including Integrative Nutritionists, Acupuncturists, Health Coaches, Exercise Physiologists, and Allina Health's extensive network of primary and specialty care.

Key Position Details:

Job Description:

Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team in accordance with the designated specialty. Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.
Principle Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical care for patients

    • Completes comprehensive patient assessments.

    • Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.

    • Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.

    • Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.

    • Refers for specialty care when determined.

  • Participates in health care team

    • Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.

    • Acts as resource to members of the team.

    • Collaborates with system teams for program development.

    • Acts as liaison with outside agencies as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program


Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire

  • Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire

  • Valid Drivers License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid drivers license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment for those working in Complex Care for Seniors, Community Palliative Care and Hospice

  • BLS Tier 1-Basic Life Support-Multisource required


Physical Demands

Pay Range

Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
