Get to know us:  About - Gesa Credit Union   *The Credit Card Product Manager position has the ability to work fully remote within Washington, Oregon or Idaho.* Role Summary: Credit Card Product Manager builds and directs credit card product strategies. Develop and implement marketing plans to drive business growth to meet business targets. Conducts regular review on market trends and studies competitor activities to identify opportunities.

Initiate product ideas and ongoing features/benefits tailored for each target segment. Analyze data to optimize credit card portfolio performance.   What You Will Be Doing: \tServe as the Card’s Product Owner and strategic thought leader of the credit union’s credit card program.

This includes working with all levels of staff to proactively generate new ideas and tactics, drive program changes and ensure that credit union card offerings are best in class. \tMaintain awareness of card products and services in the market. \tSupport the implementation of new products, service, or enhancements to existing offerings to ensure that Gesa’s product and services remain competitive and appealing while growing program profitability.

\tWork with internal and external stakeholders to develop performance models for Gesa’s credit card programs. \tWork with Marketing, Underwriting, IT, Collections to align strategies and launch new products and initiatives. \tAnalyze credit card portfolio risk including changes in credit quality, overall credit risk, and risk of fraud-related loss.

\tPrepare performance reports for senior leadership, highlighting key metrics and strategic progress. \tDevelop and present recommendations to senior leadership regarding tactics and strategies to improve efficiency, growth, and financial performance across the credit card portfolios. \tDisplay leadership values such as trust, dignity, respect, and acting in the best interest of the credit union.

\tLead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times. \tControl risk and operate in a safe and sound manner. \tAttend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by supervisor.

\tMaintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities. \tServe as the central contact for vendor communications. This may include taking a role in service contract negotiations.

\tMaintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.   About You: \tStrong understanding of Credit Union credit card portfolios. \tStrong leadership, interpersonal, and listening skills.

\tEffectively communicate ideas and information, both verbally and in writing. \tAbility to work independently and make informed decisions. Must consider multiple factors such as user experience, risk, and financial impact, to determine the best possible outcome in a given scenario.

\tAbility to complete work reliably and with great accuracy to minimize negative member impact and potential risk to credit union. \tAbility to quickly grasp and adapt to changes in business models and new technologies. \tStrong knowledge of troubleshooting skills, techniques, and tools.

\tStrong knowledge of IT technologies, processes, and procedures. \tAbility to be innovative and contribute to process improvement efforts. \tStrong organizational skills and the ability to adhere to schedules and project deadlines.

  QualificationsWhat You Will Need: \tBachelor’s degree in Business or Finance strongly preferred. Equivalent related work experience may be substituted in lieu of education requirements. \tMinimum seven (7) years of experience in the financial industry.

Credit card portfolio management experience is preferred. \tMinimum of five (5) years product ownership/product management experience. \tExperienced in creating and formatting documents in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
