Non-union roles in the entertainment industry can offer flexibility, but they also come with unique challenges such as less standardized pay, fewer job protections, and limited access to benefits compared to unionized positions. Additionally, networking and building a strong reputation are especially important, as non-union opportunities often rely on personal connections and word-of-mouth recommendations.

These jobs generally offer more flexible entry requirements but may not provide the same benefits or protections as union jobs. They can be a good way for newcomers to gain experience in the industry, but it's important for workers to understand the terms and conditions before accepting such roles.
