Clinical Director - Infection Control

The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park New York, is seeking a full time Clinical Director who will lead the Infection Control function and join our dedicated team of Nursing Professionals.

In this key clinical leadership role working alongside with caring, dedicated, and experienced senior nursing leadership, the Clinical Director- Infection Control is responsible for conducting regular and routine monitoring of nursing units to assess patients' need for precautions against infectious diseases. You'll also work with our interdisciplinary team to develop and maintain a system of care that promotes sound and scientific infection prevention principles and practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Clean and active NYS Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse license; BSN a plus

  • Infection Control certification preferred

  • Working knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, aseptic techniques, current practice, CDC guidelines and definitions of nosocomial infections, JCAHO standards and governmental regulations

  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills

  • 5 years of experience as an RN with prior experience in infection control
