Job description

DNT Construction, LLC is looking for field personnel as a Construction Grade Checker for rough and precise grading. Our Grade Checkers are responsible for understanding plans and specs, layout of crew and project, providing clear direction for cut/fill, setting hubs and stakes, calculating percentages, volumes, areas, and production rates, accurately setting grade, set up sloping laser, shoot in building elevations, GPS set up & operation, operate within OSHA and DNT safety policies, and help to achieve project schedules. This position is Monday through Saturday and often requires overtime.

Experience in the use of measuring instruments and hand tools are necessary. They must also have training in marking and reading survey stakes to determine grade specifications. A qualified Grade Checker must have the ability to observe, direct, and control equipment excavating activities to conform to stake references and communicate with equipment operators, supervision and management.
