Job description

Software Developer Position

Software / Python development to support Electrification projects. Site/Supplier Chain simulation and optimization. Will work closely with existing developers/data scientists in addition to external stakeholders to ensure the success of these two projects.

Typical Day: Work as part of a project team to write high quality/efficient code, coordinate software development, and determine project scope and limitations. Review project requests describing user needs to estimate time and requirements to accomplish project. Develop new features for existing simulation software. Extract meaningful answers from complicated outputs.

Technical Skills Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, and testing/delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. Experience in QA testing processes Python expertise Experience with data processing packages like NumPy, pandas, etc Experience with visualization packages like matplotlib, Plotly, etc Experience with SQL querying Git, AWS, Azure Nice to have: Experience with Discrete Event Simulation (e.g. SimPy)

Education Requirements: College degree required with 7+ years. Computer science background. Data science is a plus. Masters Degree/PH.D with 5+ years of experience.

Interview Process: Initial 1st round interview (30 min-via teams) 2nd interview, technical interview (will have a technical assessment to complete prior to 2nd interview). The candidate will have presented their results to a panel and present their technical results.
