Job description

Job Title: Vincentian Engagement Officer

Department: 301

Reports To: Director of Vincentian Engagement Support Services

FLSA Status: Exempt

We are looking to fill this position with an intended start date in October 2026

Job Summary:

This individual is a key connector for St Vincent de Paul, liaising closely with several departments as part of the Mission Engagement Department. The individual will work closely in support of our Vincentian Districts and Conferences. The successful candidate enjoys meeting and working with Vincentians, volunteers and donors to support and foster initiatives that promote and help to fulfill the mission, values, and strategic priorities of St Vincent de Paul. This includes coordinating the many facets of making a program successful: conference support that includes membership recruitment, leadership development and fundraising support. Internal and external partnerships and relationships are key to the success of this role. The successful candidate enjoys meeting and working with individuals and groups and is a natural ambassador. This individual is passionate about the work of SVdP as a whole, the work of the Vincentians, and strives to involve the community in the Society’s 4 missions: Spirituality, Fellowship, Serving those in need, Giving others the opportunity to serve.

Specific Duties:

  • Support Director of Vincentian Engagement Support Services and Senior Vincentian Engagement Officer
  • At the direction of the department director, Officer will support our council committees, trainings and events.
  • At the direction of the department director, Officer will support District Presidents and attend District meetings on a monthly basis
  • At the direction of the department director, Officer will support Conferences and attend various conference meetings each month with a focus on leadership development, membership recruitment and fundraising initiatives.
  • Support and participate in monthly board meetings and quarterly general membership meetings
  • Support and participate in committee meetings i.e. Spirituality Committee, Conference Resource Committee, Food Resource Committee etc.
  • Lead OFE classes and work to set up additional classes
  • Participate and liaise with other departments within SVdP to engage Vincentian volunteers throughout different locations and departments
  • Represent the organization in meetings or events with community partners.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by Director
  • Participate in and serve as a model for SVdP’s Culture of Let None Be Lost and ensure SVdP volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated *

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • Associates Degree from accredited college
  • 5+ years of in person Customer Service
  • Completed Safe Environment Training (Diocesan) OR the ability to complete this training within the first 30 days of employment
  • Completed OFE training OR the ability to complete this training within the first 90 days of employment
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, reach and lift 50 pounds
  • Valid Arizona Driver's license AND ability to provide 39 month MVR showing clean driving habits
  • Ability to attending events and work assignments on the weekends, evenings and early mornings as needed

  • Multi-tasking does not cause you negative stress; you are ready to implement a Plan B
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the organization and community
  • Superb customer service, patient, open, non-judgmental, interest in working with individuals with a variety of backgrounds and experiences
  • Can both take initiative and accept direction
  • Easy to work with and positive in a group dynamic
  • English/Spanish bilingual preferred
