Technical Project Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead technology projects supporting R&D, clinical, and regulatory operations within a regulated life sciences environment. This role will partner with bioinformatics, biometrics, data management, pharmacovigilance, and IT teams to deliver critical platforms, integrations, and data workflows.
Important: This role requires direct experience within life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, clinical research, or healthcare technology organizations. Candidates without industry experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of technical projects across R&D, clinical, and regulatory systems.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including bioinformatics, biometrics, data management, pharmacovigilance, QA, and vendors.
  • Lead project planning, timelines, risk management, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support platforms and environments such as Veeva Vault, Nextflow/Seqera, Dagster, Illumina BaseSpace, Posit, and SAS.
  • Ensure projects meet GxP, validation, compliance, and audit-readiness requirements.
  • Partner with technical teams to review system configurations, integrations, and deployment impacts.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Technical Project Management experience within life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, clinical research, or healthcare technology organizations.
  • Hands-on experience supporting regulated technology environments and complex cross-functional projects.
  • Familiarity with several of the following: Veeva Vault, Seqera/Nextflow, Dagster, Illumina BaseSpace, Posit (Connect/Workbench), and SAS.
  • Understanding of GxP, Computer System Validation (CSV/CSA), and data integrity requirements.
  • Ability to review technical configurations, YAML files, pipeline manifests, and Git-controlled environments.
  • Strong experience with Agile project delivery, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred:
  • Experience with genomics, bioinformatics, NGS, clinical data management, pharmacovigilance, or AWS environments.
  • PMP, CSM, SAFe, or similar certification.

This is a Contract position based out of Providence, RI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
