Job Description
HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a Drafter 3 to support our engineering and configuration management efforts in Crane, IN. Our ideal applicant will have experience with high-quality drafting, SolidWorks modeling, and documentation control in a structured, fast-paced environment.
This position will work onsite and requires a secret security clearance.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, revise, and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
  • Support configuration management activities including document control, revision tracking, and engineering change integration.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, CAD standards, and applicable industry specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to maintain design accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Participate in configuration audits and maintain accurate records of engineering and design data.
  • Maintain excellent quality standards in all drafting and documentation deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 15 years of related experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with advanced modeling and drawing skills.
  • Solid understanding of configuration control, documentation standards, and CAD data management.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.

Preferred Requirements
  • Accredited SolidWorks Trainer
  • Experience supporting DoD, defense, or government engineering environments

Physical Requirements
Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
