Qualifications:ย
- High School Diploma or Associate Degree
- Completed ETS Parapro Assessment with a passing score of 460 or higher
- CPI Certification (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)ย
Job Description:ย
- Implementing instructional accommodations and modifications outlined in the IEP under the direction of the classroom teacher and special education team
- Providing close proximity support during instruction to assist with attention, on-task behavior, and medical response capability
- Recognizing signs of diabetic distress and seizure activity and following response protocols including blood sugar monitoring and seizure management
- Accompanying the student at all times to ensure immediate medical response capability
- Documenting all medical events, interventions, and observations accurately and in a timely manner
- Implementing instructional accommodations and modifications outlined in the IEP
- Implementing behavioral strategies outlined in the PBSP with fidelity and consistency
- Proactively organizing the physical environment to reduce sensory overload, distraction, or injury
Salary/Benefits: Starting at $17.57/hour; per the PPESPA Agreement under the paraprofessional classificationย
Days/Hours: School Days/8:15 a.m. 4:00 p.m. (includes a 30-minute unpaid break)ย
