$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
Lab Specialist - Laboratory
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an immediate start date
• Day shift schedule with guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Work every 4th weekend with no float requirements and no on-call responsibilities
• Work independently from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM on weekdays and 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM on weekends
• Perform basic lab tech duties including running tests and phlebotomy (phlebotomy skills are a must)
• Perform Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Immunoassay, Blood Bank, and Specimen Processing
• Set up cultures for Microbiology and perform Gram staining (full Microbiology work not required)
• Generalist background required with ability to perform all needed tasks independently
• Perform calibrations, quality control, and equipment maintenance
• 2-3 weeks of training and orientation provided, dependent on experience
• Required certifications: MLT or MT by ASCP, BLS
• Required education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 1+ year of core lab experience required
• Charting and equipment experience: LIS - Sunquest (highly preferred), EPIC for medical records, Heme-Sysmex, Chem-Roche BI, Blood Bank-Ortho Gel, Coag-Stago, Urine-Clinitek BI, Gas-Radiometer
• Scrub colors: Any, as long as clean and presentable
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates should be hard-working, resilient, adaptable to change, and socially engaging

The laboratory department operates 24 hours a day and is staffed by a team of 17 employees, providing comprehensive lab services including limited microbiology. The facility utilizes modern equipment and industry-standard systems to support high-quality patient care and laboratory operations.
