Who are we looking for:
Woodard & Curran seeks a detail-oriented civil engineer to support various site-civil projects. Based in our Portland office, you will work with teams on projects primarily in New England but with the opportunity to engage in exciting projects around the country. The successful candidate will work with client and project managers, technical managers, and other engineers, supporting our clients with a wide range of site development, utility, and stormwater projects. You will work on challenging and unique projects in a highly collaborative environment.
The successful candidates have experience in the following areas:
  • Site prep and development for public and private sectors
  • Grey and Green Stormwater solutions
  • Parks and open space projects, helpful but not essential
  • Landfill expansion and closures, helpful but not essential

Offering Flexible Hybrid Work Schedule: 3 days a week in office
Office location: Portland, ME
Travel up to 25%: Northern Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:
  • Site design, site grading, erosion & sediment control, and stormwater management design.
  • Working with designers to develop design plans.
  • Preparing local, state, and federal permit application packages.
  • Preparing specifications.
  • Construction administration.
  • Technical writing and communications with clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Mentoring and delegating to staff-level engineers.
  • Delegating and managing project tasks to staff while overseeing total project delivery.
  • Enforcing and applying quality assurance and quality control processes.

What You Will Need to Succeed:
  • BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 - 9 years' experience with site-civil-related projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in any State preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and HydroCAD software preferred.

$70,000 - $90,000 a year
This position's anticipated pay range is provided below; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets. #LI-TB1
