Job description

Summary
Facilities Maintenance Mechanic 2

Oh, and yes, we are the same Haas that owns the Haas Factory Racing Team, and Haas F1 Team from the Netflix series: Drive to Survive.
Troubleshoot and repair of facility related equipment, i.e., forklifts, a/c units, compressors, and machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Understands/adheres to safety requirements within the department and company.
  • Uses basic hand tools.
  • Drives equipment/ vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and street vehicles.
  • Assist other level 2 mechanics with plumbing, electrical, and framing.
  • Assist contractors and vendors when needed.
  • Assist with managing the preventive maintenance on facility related equipment, i.e., forklifts, a/c units, and compressors.
  • Develop procedures for repairs and training aids for level 1 Technicians.
  • Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift.
  • Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager.

• Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
• Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Maintain an active Haas Forklift certification.
  • Work with little to no supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge in troubleshooting facility related equipment.
  • Expert in all phases of facility repairs in, construction, remodeling, and maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Desired Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
