) Job Title: Registered Nurse Supervisor (RNS)
Status: Full-Time, Hourly
Position Summary:
The Nurse Supervisor is a leadership role responsible for hospital-wide staffing coordination, oversight of emergency and critical incident responses, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct nursing assessments and document findings.
  • Respond promptly to patient medical concerns.
  • Oversee all seclusion and restraint events and complete required face-to-face assessments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting and required notifications.
  • Manage emergency situations and critical incidents effectively.
  • Conduct unit rounds to monitor care quality, staff assignments, safety precautions, and environmental concerns.
  • Address staff performance issues, provide counseling, and complete personnel documentation.
  • Ensure employee incidents are reported appropriately and on time.
  • Prepare the 24-Hour Report and other required facility documents.
  • Provide strong leadership in organizing clinical/non-clinical activities and shift schedules.
  • Serve as a role model with high clinical standards, strong interpersonal skills, and assertive communication.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN/BS preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of nursing experience; At least 1 year of nursing supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Current Louisiana RN license
  • Competencies: Leadership ability, personnel management, counseling skills, and age-appropriate clinical competencies.
