The person in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the post
  • Give the alarm and assist in response to a fire or other emergency
  • Patrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicle
  • Enforce company and client policies
  • Observe, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Lieutenant or Control Dispatch
  • Respond to incidents
  • Protect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the post
  • Officers will only use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect life
  • Observe, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence
  • Officers will remain on post until they have a face-to-face relief
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
  • Secure facility and designated areas
  • Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
  • Investigate and prepare reports on incidents

Schedule: Sun-Mon: 4 PM - 12 AM

Armed Security Officers must pass the following requirements and comply with Prosegur, client, and State Law Rules and Regulations.
  • Mandatory Firearm Qualification Screening
  • New York State Unrestricted License to Carry Pistol
  • NYS Armed Security Guard License
  • Law Enforcement and/or Military background is strongly preferred
  • Armed Security Officer Training Requalification (with the exception of "Exempt" Armed Officers not required to take the course due to status according to NYS Division of Criminal Justice and NYS Department of Licensing).
  • 8-Hour NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course (non-firing) as required by Westchester County, New York
  • 47-Hour Firearms Training Course
  • 7 Hours of classroom instruction on NYS Penal Law (Article 35)? 40 Hours of range training to include qualification
