Job description

Overview

Candidates should be dedicated and regimented in their approach, but able to adjust to a wide variety of customer needs and requests. Customer service and focus will be the key to success in this role. Individuals who are competitive in nature are often very successful in these roles, therefore this personality trait is preferred in the ideal candidate. The model applicant will also have experience in either Beverage Sales or Hospitality Beverage Management. This position will require both the sale and delivery of non-alcohol products to accounts across the Kansas City Missouri Metro. Great Sales Representative entry level position. 

Responsibilities
  • Develop outstanding relationships with customers, co-workers, and suppliers while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to current route scheduled calls, as well as seek out and create new customer leads.
  • Attain distribution of new and existing products, as well as continued emphasis of current brands in the areas of sizes and brand extension.
  • Keep customers current on changes in pricing, including start/return/end of sales.
  • Prepare reports, which include product distribution and positioning, display tracking, target accounts for specific products, and sales expenses.
  • Sell/maintain/deliver/merchandise Standard Beverage non-alcohol products in the market.
  • Strive to continually overtake the competition on every level, individually and as a team with other members of the division/company.
  • Maintain inventory and rotation of products both in accounts and in the delivery vehicle.
  • Drive in a safe and lawful manner. Maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Keep and maintain a clean delivery vehicle.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle.
  • Operate handheld devices to generate invoices. Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
  • Represent the company and our suppliers in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience that is determined to be directly related to the foregoing specified requirements may be considered for substitution.
  • Strong persuasive presentations skills, including the ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Able to work with a diverse group of people and customers.
  • Background or experience in the beverage industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the non-alcoholic beverage industry, including knowledge of non-alcoholic products, terms, and growing techniques helpful.
  • Passion for beverage products with the ability to continuously learn new brands and represent effectively to customers.
  • High level of integrity, commitment, and possess a strong work ethic.

Licenses, Age restrictions

  • Valid Driver's License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment in order to qualify for a Kansas ABC Sales License.

Physical Demands

  • Physical exertion may necessary to achieve desired levels of account management: must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 120 pounds. Occasionally the navigation of stairs and inclines is required with a loaded hand truck.
  • The team member is regularly required to stand; walk/ use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. The team member frequently is required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product, stocking coolers and shelves, and rotating backroom stock at customer locations.
