Compensation: $28-$31/hr
Location: Nashville, TN
Position: NOC Tier I Engineer
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled NOC Tier I Engineer to join their team!
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, collaborating with vendors, and being the calm, knowledgeable voice customers rely on when it matters most!
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor customer networks and respond to outages or performance issues
  • Troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and voice systems
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Coordinate with vendors during outages
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and customer interactions clearly
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership
  • Participate in network upgrades and infrastructure improvements
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support

Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Strong customer- and team-focused mindset; consistently puts the customer first
  • 2+ years of experience with LANs, internet connectivity, or security appliances
  • 2+ years of experience supporting routers, switches, and wireless access points
  • 2+ years of experience with DNS, SMTP, SNMP, and related services
  • 4+ years of hands-on or phone-based experience in a technical support or NOC role
  • 3+ years of experience documenting customer needs in a ticketing system (ConnectWise or similar preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-performing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with voice technologies (PBX, VoIP, POTS, PSTN)
  • Experience with FortiGate (preferred) and/or Cisco networking equipment
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools
  • Strong multitasking skills in high-volume ticket environments
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet NSE/FCA/FCE, or ITIL
