Sales Assistant -Japanese Bilingual
Location: San Jose, CA
Compensation: $25–$28/hour, depending on experience
Hours: Standard hours are 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Flexible schedules, such as 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, may be considered based on the candidate’s availability.
Employment Type: Short-term Temporary (09/2026~11/2026)
Professional Japanese language ability required. This position requires regular communication with manufacturing teams in Japan regarding orders, inventory, shipping schedules, and product delivery.

Company Overview
A major Japanese manufacturing company is seeking a bilingual Sales Assistant to support sales operations and order fulfillment. The company provides products primarily used in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry.
Position Summary
The Sales Assistant will manage sales orders, inventory, shipping, and delivery coordination while supporting the sales team and customers. Professional Japanese language ability is required to coordinate directly with manufacturing teams in Japan and ensure timely product delivery to U.S. customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Enter new sales orders and quotations into the company system.
  • Coordinate with factories in Japan to confirm production and shipping dates and communicate updates to customers.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory levels and promptly report issues to the Sales Manager.
  • Process rush orders and update sales orders and shipping information as needed.
  • Determine appropriate shipping methods, routes, and carriers based on timing, specifications, and cost.
  • Schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Coordinate deliveries to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records.
  • Issue invoices and credit memos.
  • Support Accounts Receivable collection by contacting customers.
  • Provide ongoing administrative and operational support to the sales team.
