Job description

Administers, develops, runs tests, implements, and maintains Akima's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Maintenance Connect (MC). Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters. Identify required data from other Akima and customer applications and a means to transmit that data from and to these applications. Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems. Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and performs data recoveries. Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts. Provides technical support for system users. Performs work with a high degree of latitude. Handles the most complex issues.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) which is Maintenance Connect (MC).
  • Install, configure, and populate MC a various location across the country, starting with our contract location at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi.
  • Identify data to be transferred from and to other Akima applications, such as CostPoint, Deltek, QT9, etc., and MC.
  • Identify data to be transferred from and to Government provided systems such as MAXIMO, NextGen, and GFEBS in order to maximize the capabilities of MC.
  • Set up database configuration and account structure to capture all personnel labor, materials, subcontracted services, taxes, shipping cost, warranties, asset inventories, and qualification records (e.g., skill qualifications) in the MC for Akima contract employees and the subcontractors.
  • Monitor daily the input and outputs in MC to ensure the consistency and standardization of the data across all contracts where MC is or will be utilized.
  • Schedule in the CMMS orphaned work that is discovered daily.
  • Provide training and procedures on the proper use of MC for each contract that uses MC.

Qualifications
  • BA.
  • Two years of hands-on experience providing installation, configuration, operational support, training, and data entry/cleansing/validation within or supporting the population of a CMMS application.
  • (U) Experience may be substituted with the completion of certified CMMS training courses.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
