  • The Houston Rockets are seeking a creative, talented, dedicated, and driven professional with at least 3 years of creative video editing & videography experience. In this role, you will have a knack for editing viral, engaging, entertaining, trendy, & topical daily digital content, player features, highlights, promos, and deliver it for streaming services, apps, and social media platforms from start to finish, quickly & efficiently, while meeting tight deadlines for the Houston Rockets and our partners as needed.
  • In addition to the above duties, you will cover, film, edit, and produce content for various Houston Rockets community, corporate, and ticket member events throughout the year.
Digital Video Editor and Videographer

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in film/broadcast/communications or equal experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional editing & videography experience for a sports team or post house.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays required as needed.
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (Avid Media Composer, Premiere, After Effects).
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of production, studio, & subject lighting.
  • Familiarity with 3D and compositing are a plus.
  • Live production/control experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments under pressure.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, time-sensitive department.
  • Demo reel or portfolio must be submitted with application for consideration.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
  • The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
  • The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
  • The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
