Job description

Overview

Serves as patrol officer in the hospital facilities. Responsible for observing, monitoring, and the reporting activities in the HH Health System using patrol techniques and responding to security incidents as required. May be called upon to greet, valet park, transport patients or work as a cashier in garage booth when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

Education/Certification:High School diploma or GED required. Some college preferred. Must successfully complete the Huntsville Hospital P.R.I.D.E. Academy.

Experience:Security, military or law enforcement experience accompanied with customer service experience preferred. Must possess a driver's license and be insurable by HH standards. Supervisory and Healthcare experience also preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities:Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Excellent customer service and communication skills are needed with the ability to enforce policies in an assertive, yet courteous manner. Must possess some computer skills with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet applications.
