Job description

We’re looking for Researcher/Writer to research, pitch, and breakdown daily news stories for original video and written content for web distribution. The ideal candidate must possess a background in journalism, political science, or communications. We’re looking for individuals who have strong writing skills, attention to detail, are fact driven, can provide data without bias, and are able to look at a news story from various perspectives. In addition, we’re looking for someone with a high level of self-sufficiency, strong collaboration & communication skills who is able to adapt to changing show styles, schedules, and feedback.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research news stories
  • Build outlined information quickly
  • Find photo and video assets across the web as needed
  • Work on special assignments, or other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Educational or professional background in journalism, political science, communications, or another related field
  • Highly creative, organized, and able to work independently with little direction
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lively changing production environment
