Job description

) Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Assessments & Care Oversight
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex (Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, Garland, Irving, Arlington, and surrounding areas)
Company: Harmony at Home Senior Care
About Harmony at Home Senior Care
Harmony at Home Senior Care provides one-on-one, in-home support services to seniors and adults throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Our nursing team plays a critical clinical and oversight role, ensuring care quality, caregiver compliance, and accurate health assessments - not bedside nursing.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unencumbered Texas license to join our clinical oversight team.
This is a non-bedside role. RNs do not provide direct hands-on care to clients. Instead, they serve in a supervisory and clinical assessment capacity, supporting caregivers and ensuring client care needs are accurately evaluated and documented.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Complete standard nursing assessments, including health status reviews, vitals, functional observations, and care plan evaluations.
  • Conduct assigned insurance-related assessments for clients receiving home health services through insurance providers, including evaluating and documenting medical necessity and health validity for services.
  • Review and validate client conditions to support continued eligibility for services when required by insurers or care programs.
  • Provide clinical oversight and supervision of caregivers, including care guidance, observation, and documentation review.
  • Communicate assessment findings to care coordinators, families, and internal leadership as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, documentation standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in agency systems.

What This Role Is NOT
  • No direct patient care or bedside nursing
  • No wound care, injections, medication administration, or hands-on ADLs
  • No shift-based bedside assignments

This role is focused on clinical evaluation, oversight, and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (required).
  • Previous experience in home health, care assessments, utilization review, or clinical oversight preferred.
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical judgment skills.
  • Comfortable working independently across multiple client cases.
  • Familiarity with insurance-based care criteria and medical necessity evaluations is strongly preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally within the DFW area.

What We Offer
  • Flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time, or PRN options available).
  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • Mileage reimbursement for client visits.
  • Paid onboarding and training.
  • Supportive administrative and care coordination team.
  • A structured, professional role that values clinical expertise without bedside burnout.

Why This Role Works
This position is ideal for RNs seeking a clinical, non-bedside role that still utilizes assessment skills, professional judgment, and autonomy - without the physical demands of direct care.
