Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in sales, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care. As an Optical Sales associate, you will be responsible for fitting and dispensing eyewear, educating patients on proper lens care, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. This role requires a blend of technical skills, retail sales experience, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions. No optical experience required- we will train the right candidate.

Responsibilties

  • Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences.
  • Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure proper fit and comfort.
  • Educate patients on lens options, care instructions, and the importance of regular eye examinations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using EMR systems such as Epic.
  • Perform laboratory tasks related to eyewear production as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest optical technologies and trends in the industry.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in optical services or a related field is preferred but not required.
