Job Tasks

  • Safety / Quality: Ensures all safety, environmental and operational procedures are followed.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
  • Maintains the confidentiality of company, customer and personnel information.
  • Performs all pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is fit for purpose. Reports any damage or defects as discovered.
  • Performs the duties required by forklift operators depending on the department. Outbound forklift operators pick pallets for orders and load containers as needed. Inbound forklift operators will bin-in new pallets. Inventory forklift operators will perform pallet movements to maintain yard health. P&S and PRM forklift operators will conduct pallet movements needed b maintain production.
  • Takes necessary precautions to avoid damaging customer, company, or 3rd party property/equipment/product/etc. Performs additional duties

Qualification and Experience

  • Must have experience operating a gas-powered sit-down forklift or:
  • Must have experience operating a diesel-powered forklift
  • 2 years’ experience working with forklifts
  • Certified on a forklift
  • Must be able to double stack single pallets (preferable)
  • Container loading experience (preferable)
  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Must be able to do basic math
  • Must have experience moving large loadss assigned by management.
