Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring a Machine Operator in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to support production operations within a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
This position is responsible for operating production machinery, meeting established production rates, completing quality checks and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The ideal candidate can follow directions, work effectively with a team and maintain strong attention to detail throughout each shift.
Position Overview
The Machine Operator produces parts according to established prints, specifications and tolerances.
This role requires consistent communication with area leadership, Quality and material handling personnel to ensure machines remain supplied, completed parts are removed and production or quality concerns are addressed promptly.
Responsibilities
  • Operate production machinery according to prints and specifications
  • Produce the required quantity of parts within established tolerances
  • Meet established job rates
  • Track job rates and indirect time
  • Notify the Area Lead of tooling requirements
  • Report machinery maintenance needs to the Area Lead
  • Communicate production rate concerns and request assistance when needed
  • Notify the material handler when completed parts are ready for removal
  • Request additional production materials from the material handler
  • Report nonconforming materials immediately to the Area Lead
  • Notify the Quality team when the Area Lead is unavailable
  • Perform required quality checks
  • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area
  • Recommend opportunities to improve production processes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to complete basic math calculations
  • Ability to learn production equipment and operating procedures
