Job description

Evening Custodian/Janitor

Requirements of Custodian/Janitor:

  • No Experience, No Problem!
  • Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
  • Must be able to pass a background check & fingerprinting

Role of Custodian/Janitor:

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of schools
  • Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing restrooms
  • Disposing of trash & recycling
  • Mopping & sweeping floors
  • Dusting and surface cleaning
  • Windows and glass cleaning
  • Inventory management of supplies

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.

Typical Shift: 3:30pm to 10:00pm (Monday through Friday)
