Mechanical Engineer

Elk Grove Village, IL

Our client is hiring a Mechanical Engineer. Interested candidates should have at least a bachelor's degree or technical equivalent.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer

  • Develop machinery utilizing up to 36 station rotary index tables using SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor
  • Design systems to integrate technology such as ultrasonic welding using such brands as Dukane, Herrmann or Branson and pad printing from such brands as ITW Transtech
  • Use Brute machine bases or similar to design and have your machines built in-house on
  • Be a project manager to manage the timeline of your machine builds using MS Project or similar software
  • Design the fixtures and nests to be used with each process
  • Stay within budget for each project and be mindful of fiscal accountability for your projects
  • Along with the Electrical Engineering team, incorporate safety guarding such as light curtains and other safety mechanisms into your designs

Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or technical equivalent is preferred
  • MS Office proficiency including MS Project
  • Proficiency with AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is required

Compensation for the Mechanical Engineer

The targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges starts at $80,000.00 per year on the low range and salary will depend on experience and skillset levels.
