Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) will deliver safe, patient-centered care within the Oncology/Infusion Center, providing direct patient care in line with clinical standards and scope of practice. Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infusion treatments to adult oncology patients.
  • Providing direct care to patients in an infusion setting.
  • Conducting patient assessments and monitoring treatment responses and side effects.
  • Educating patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
  • Ensuring compliance with oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
  • Communicating clinical changes, lab results, and diagnostic findings to physicians.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Collaborating with the oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a current and valid state RN license.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
  • Oncology Nursing Certification is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
