SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is day-to-day operations to maintain golf courses.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a minimum of one month’s related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Course set up duties to present proper tee marker positions and hole locations. Set up duties also involve litter and waste removal, ball washer maintenance and general care and upkeep of course amenities.
• Mowing and grooming; keep up playability and high quality appearance. Walking and riding equipment. 
• Hand water turf; requires moving hoses manually and recognizing wilt conditions. This task is essential to keeping healthy turf.
• Hand labor; including raking, shoveling, pushing and divot repair to groom the course. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Must have the ability to see and react to the surroundings including errant golf balls and must understand and follow proper golf etiquette while completing tasks.
