  • Ability to maintain grade control and perform precision excavation to meet project specifications.
  • Proficiency working safely around multiple pieces of heavy equipment and active haul routes.
  • Capability to operate in wet or unstable ground conditions while maintaining safety and productivity.
  • Experience conducting equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
  • Comfort working in production-driven, dirt-moving environments with a strong focus on meeting targets.
  • Commitment to following safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards on active construction sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with mass earthmoving operations, including large-scale excavation and material relocation.
  • Experience in landfill, mining, or dredging projects, particularly those involving complex earthworks.
  • Hands-on experience in environmental remediation projects involving coal ash or similar materials.
  • Exposure to heavy civil construction projects, including earthworks, grading, and site development.
  • Familiarity with operating dozers and other heavy equipment in addition to excavators.
  • Experience working on active power plant sites or industrial facilities is highly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in long-term projects with consistent, high production expectations.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with operators, drivers, and site supervisors in busy work zones.
