SALARY RANGE: $28-32 hourly dependent upon interview outcomes and experience

Position Summary: 

The Environmental Technician, as part of the Field Operations team, will play a key role in keeping us compliant as we expand and provide our services in new geographic areas, and solve water treatment problems. The Environmental Technician will perform a variety of tasks related to field operations, such as conducting site inspections, sampling, reporting, water treatment system operations, and water treatment plan creation and modifications for the region. This position will be expected to also perform various duties and special assignments within the operations department. Attention to detail, teamwork, adaptability, reliability, and clear communication will all be critical to success in this role. 

Key Responsibilities: 

As the Environmental Technician, you will work closely with the Field Supervisors, Project Managers and the operations team to:  

  • Support our CESCL / ISGP inspections / reporting and sampling programs (i.e. SWPPP); 
  • operate, maintain, and repair various mechanical components on water treatment systems;  
  • and perform other field related tasks as scheduled.  

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment    
  • Strong time management skills  
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal    
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite   
  • Strong customer service skills  
  • Familiar with analytical sampling protocols  
  • Willingness and ability to work long days to meet customer needs 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in corporate safety   
  • Experience operating and maintaining water treatment systems   
  • Basic knowledge of the storm water management manual of Washington & Oregon  
  • Experience conducting onsite CESCL / ISGP inspections   

Licensing & Special Requirements: 

  • Subject to a criminal background check. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. 

Working Conditions: 

Work is performed primarily at industrial and construction site locations located in southern Washington and northern Oregon. This position will be expected and required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas and while on site. Must be able to work in all adverse weather conditions, including long days. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. This position will be expected to travel, mostly within the immediate region described.
