Warehouse Material Handler
Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Material Handler to ensure the safe and efficient flow of materials. You will be responsible for loading/unloading freight, picking orders, and organizing stock within our warehouse. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and prioritizes workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
  • Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing freight from trucks and shipping containers.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage materials and products accurately for timely distribution.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory counts, scan barcodes using RF scanners, and update Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Quality & Safety: Inspect products for damage, verify against purchase orders, and strictly adhere to all safety and compliance regulations.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following standard 5S or lean methodology.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
  • Equipment: Valid forklift certification is highly preferred, with a strong willingness to train and operate warehouse machinery.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding labor, stand and walk for extended periods, and frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Technology Skills: Basic computer skills and experience utilizing inventory management software or RF scanners.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
