Job description

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer. Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division designs, manufactures, and services Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, surge protection devices (SPD), batteries, Power distribution, monitoring/metering equipment and three phase electronic-based products to ensure power reliability in the most demanding applications. Our employees deliver mission-critical solutions to our customers' most challenging energy management requirements.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do: Develop electrical aspects of power distribution & monitoring products, per approved engineering specifications. Conduct extensive hands-on laboratory work with high power electrical systems including batteries and UPS Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with overall manufacturing processes. Develop and maintain documentation and schematics for electrical systems.

Plan and test for Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) certification of new and existing products. Communicate and support engineering team, designers, and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Prepare cost reduction proposals for new and existing products based on cost trades, design improvements and Value-Added Value Engineering (VAVE) process.

Create and maintain accurate documentation of design concepts, tool drawings and shop orders in coordination with the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing functions. Partner with manufacturing team early in the design process to ensure solutions are optimized for manufacturability, efficiency, and scalability. Execute project activities with cross functional teams.

Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution with minimum one (1) co-op or internship work experience in Electrical Engineering. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
