Job description

CentralCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Radiologist to provide full-time services at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. This is a great opportunity for Diagnostic Radiologist to support our military and their families as civilian contractors (no military service required).

Diagnostic Radiologist Details:
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years within the last three (3) years practicing as a Physician Radiology. Residency and fellowship time counts as practicing experience.

  • Pay: Hourly (1099)

  • Availability: Full Time | 160 Hours per Month plus overage

  • 1-2 Weekends per Month

  • Shift: M-F 7:30a – 4:30p (Considered Full Time)

  • Contract Length: 1 year Preferred (opportunity to extend)

  • Malpractice Insurance: We Cover for Full Time (1mil/3mil claims made)

  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days

Diagnostic Radiologist Responsibilities:
  • Contract HCWs shall have experience in performing and or interpretation of broad scope of general diagnostic radiology through on site or teleradiology means (e.g., diagnostic x-ray, mammography, neuroradiology, ultrasound, general nonvascular interventional procedures, magnetic resonance imaging, computerized tomography, and fluoroscope procedures).

  • Contract HCWs shall have sufficient experience and ability to manage a general/minor interventional procedure (e.g., thyroid fine need aspirations, image guided chest or abdominal biopsies, breast biopsies).

  • Shall have demonstrated experience teaching in an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-American Osteopathic Association accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program, fellowship training, or an equivalent.

  • Contract HCWs shall have sufficient training/experience to be able to perform the required duties which include, but not limited to the following: Performing a full range of Physician Radiology skills interpreting and analyzing various medical imaging modalities, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy

Diagnostic Radiologist Qualifications:
  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Radiology.
  • Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology, American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, or equivalent.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
  • Active BLS
