About the Opportunity
As a Diagnostic Radiologist, you will provide comprehensive imaging interpretation and consultation services supporting inpatient and outpatient Veteran care. Working closely with physicians and healthcare professionals across multiple specialties, you will help ensure timely, accurate diagnoses that guide exceptional clinical decision-making.

What You'll Do
Interpret a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies, including: General Radiography (X-ray), CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine, and DEXA (Bone Density)
Provide subspecialty expertise in Body Imaging, Neuroradiology, or Musculoskeletal (MSK) Imaging
Review imaging requests for medical necessity and protocol selection
Develop imaging protocols and collaborate with radiologic technologists
Prescribe contrast agents and imaging-related medications in accordance with accepted clinical guidelines
Deliver timely, accurate interpretations while meeting required turnaround times
Communicate urgent and critical findings promptly to referring providers
Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, tumor boards, and clinical consultations
Support quality improvement, peer review, radiation safety, and performance initiatives
Maintain complete and accurate documentation within the VA Electronic Health Record
Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles and all VA patient safety, HIPAA, and infection prevention requirements

Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR)
National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Successful completion of the AMI credentialing process
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
