Job Title: Estimator

Location: Stockton, CA

Job Type: Full-Time In Office

About Us: Patriot Construction, Inc. is a reputable construction firm known for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator at our home office in Stockton, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Federal Construction Estimator you will produce cost estimates from RFP’s, IFB’s, RFQ’s or Design Builds from the conceptual phase through the Project Closeout.
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, Sub-Contractor’s by Division, materials, and labor expenses.
  • Attend Job Walks.
  • Takeoffs from Plans and Specifications
  • Design Build Estimating and Coordination
  • Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Incorporating OSHA and building code requirements into all estimates
  • Reviewing material and labor requirements to decide cost-effectiveness
  • Prepare Potential Change Orders for submission to the Government with complete backup documentation required.
  • Review Sub Contractors requests for change orders and thoroughly review for accuracy and discrepancies.

Qualifications:

As an Estimator you must be able to produce detailed estimates. You must have previous experience working with architects and engineers. Ideal candidates have knowledge and experience working with conceptual drawings and are able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in commercial, medical or large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to manage projects independently
  • Ability to estimate multiple projects at the same time.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Building Connected and Microsoft Excel and Outlook
