Job description

About the Role:

Position will perform functions such as EPS (Engineered Pumping Systems) model, drawing, and BOM creation, fulfillment of Customer Service drawing requests, maintenance of design related data on the website, and execution of smaller projects. Individuals may also perform technical tasks necessary to assist Product and Design Engineering department in achieving project goals, such as testing, building models, maintaining and creating CAD drawings and related BOMs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer literate in common word processing, spreadsheet and other Windows-based PC programs
  • Proficiency with industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and technical documentation standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical information accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3D modeling software and parametric design tools.
  • Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems and CAD data management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials to support design for manufacturability.
  • Certification from recognized professional organizations such as the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and modify detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on engineering specifications and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to understand design intent and ensure accuracy in technical documentation.
  • Review and verify drawings for completeness, compliance with standards, and manufacturability before release.
  • Maintain and organize CAD files and documentation to ensure version control and accessibility for project teams.
  • Assist in troubleshooting design issues and provide technical support during the prototyping and production phases.

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Handle multiple projects simultaneously. Willing to work in a team environment and familiar with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. Self-motivated, capable of taking direction as well as working with minimal supervision.
