These individuals may have relevant educational backgrounds, such as a degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, but are just starting to learn about automation systems, tools, and processes on the job. Their responsibilities often include assisting with the design, testing, and implementation of automated systems under the guidance of more experienced engineers. This role is designed to provide hands-on training and exposure to automation projects, helping new engineers build foundational skills. Companies may offer mentorship, training programs, or internships for those entering the field without experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a no experience automation engineer?

To thrive as a No Experience Automation Engineer, foundational knowledge in programming (such as Python or Java), problem-solving abilities, and a relevant degree in engineering or computer science are essential. Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Jenkins, or basic scripting, as well as a willingness to pursue certifications such as ISTQB or entry-level automation courses, is valuable. Strong analytical thinking, eagerness to learn, and effective communication set candidates apart in this entry-level role. These skills enable new automation engineers to quickly adapt, contribute to team projects, and develop robust automated solutions in a fast-evolving tech environment.
