Ann Arbor International Baccalaureate teaching positions will fully embrace and implement the

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Michigan Secondary Teaching Certification in mathematics or science
State of Michigan CTE Certification in CIP Code(s)11.0201 and or 11.1003
 Bachelor of Science in engineering, science, or mathematics
 Experience developing software in an object-oriented language
 Ability to attend professional development as needed during summer 2026 for AP
Computer Science Principles (Code.org), AP Computer Science A, or PLTW Computer
Science Core Training








Preferred but not required:
 Michigan NR (Computer Science) endorsement
 Experience teaching high school computer science
 Master's degree or significant coursework and/or professional work experience in
computer science or software engineering

Professional Experience:
 Public or private sector work experience in computer science or software engineering
Website Programming Skills:
 Proficiency in creating and maintaining professional websites. Working familiarity with HTML 5,
digital programming across multiple user platforms, and creating professional level and
compelling digital content for all social media platforms is required. Maintaining online
curriculum is required.







JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Huron Computer Science (CS) program is designed to engage beginning through advanced
CS students, especially traditionally underrepresented groups, through a series of classes that
develop computational thinking, digital citizenship, and programming skills.
Teacher will be expected to teach CS courses at a variety of levels and to mixed-level
classrooms, promote the CS program to Skyline students especially underrepresented groups,
work with other CS teachers in Ann Arbor Public Schools on common curriculum and
assessments, effectively prepare students for AP tests, and utilize project-based learning as a
differentiation tool.
This is a full time position, requiring regular reliable and predictable attendance on site to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
