Job description

The Opportunity:
The GIS Analyst will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and presenting geographic data using GIS technologies as a member of the GIS Team within the Surveying Services group.
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the latest in ESRI desktop and online software for data management and data communications.
  • Create focused and effective maps for internal and external service groups and clients.
  • Publish and manage map features and services in ArcGIS Online and Enterprise.
  • Manage geospatial data in various formats, ensuring data quality and development of comprehensive metadata.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest GIS trends and technologies and contribute to shaping the future direction of the team's geospatial strategy.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proficiency in GIS software and related technologies (ArcPro, ArcGIS Online, Drone2Map).
  • ArcGIS Online Experience Builder and Drone2Map imagery processing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Competency using computer operating systems and MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to interpret complex spatial data.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and team members, fostering positive working relationships, customer-centric approach to provide excellent service to clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to change and react productively to frequent interruptions and changing conditions.
