Join the School of Design as a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Computer Science where you will design and deliver engaging and industry-focussed teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise and experience to help drive curriculum innovation, support student success, and engage in impactful research and professional practice in Computer Science and the wider Computing subject area.
Within the role you will design and deliver high-quality teaching, assess learners across Computer Science and Computing related subjects, and contribute to curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, and the enhancement of the student experience. You will engage in relevant knowledge exchange, research and scholarly activity, build productive relationships with academic, professional, and industry networks, and ensure compliance with quality assurance and regulatory requirements. The role also includes supporting recruitment and promotional activities, undertaking School administrative responsibilities, contributing to the wider academic community, and, where appropriate, mentoring less experienced colleagues.

  • A good postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline
  • Recent, successful experience of university level teaching in a relevant discipline
  • A track record or demonstrable potential in research, knowledge exchange or professional practice - particularly where this has clearly enriched your teaching, underpinned curricular developments and/or enhanced the student experience
  • Broad and extensive knowledge and experience in Computer Science 

Grade Ac3S/Ac3A - Starting from 44,746 rising to 56,536 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
