Custom Cylinders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our skilled team of assemblers.ย  This position will be responsible for completing a variety of different assembly tasks using different tools and fixtures as needed.ย  An ideal candidate for this role should pay strong attention to detail, is committed to workplace safety, comfortable working in a team environment and is focused on delivering high quality work for our customers.
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and clean components prior to assembling them
  • Confirm that the types and quantities of components provided for the job match those listed in the paperwork provided with the assembly job
  • Setup and operate drill presses, vices, fixtures and other types of equipment required for each assembly job
  • Read and follow assembly instructions
  • Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors
  • Identify any parts that are not correct and notify a supervisor
  • Perform final testing of finished parts prior to packaging for shipment
  • Ensure that any and all excess or unused parts are returned to the appropriate locations (inventory, quality, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Support the efficient operation of Custom Cylinders. ย 
Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two years prior experience in assembly
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to read drawings and assembly instructions
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 40lbs as neededย 
  • Ability to handle and manipulate small parts
